Bishops Palace Waterford

One of Waterford’s most prominent buildings, situated on Waterford’s prestigious mall. This is now part of a development called the Waterford Medieval Triangle. DLight were first brought to to review the site through Waterford City Council. The detail which Architects John o’Connell and Colin McCabe wanted to incorporate a lighting scheme was going to be very difficult. Throughout this beautiful listed building we were defined by the structures of the existing lighting layouts. To Illuminate the many art works through the building we proposed using the brass picture rail to house the 3 phase track. All of the artwork has special bespoke picture lights using latest LED technology. Dlight developed a dimming system remote to each luminaire again bespoke to the project. Dlight have worked with John O’Connell Architects since 2009 on over several projects where we work on delivering bespoke projects.
