We are very proud to announce the sponsorship of Waterford Football Club for the 2018 season, and hopefully beyond. Over the last few years, the club has made a lot of positive changes to re-establish the strong tradition around football in Waterford.
In 2017, after weeks of speculation, the club officially announced the takeover by Lee Power and his appointment as Chairman. Shortly after, the club was rebranded and a fresh professional approach was reborn. The club developed a strong fanbase over the 2017 season and gained promotion to the League of Ireland Premier Divison after successfully winning the League of Ireland First Division.
The club has also made a tremendous effort to improve football from grassroots here in Waterford, including the creation of a new Junior Blues Academy in partnership with Waterford Institute of Technology.
The club was founded in 1930 and has since won six League of Ireland titles, the last being 1972-73 season. Dlight wishes continued success to Waterford FC for the 2018/19 season, following their successful 2017-18 season.
